The City of Cincinnati’s Office of Performance & Data Analytics (OPDA) is seeking qualified candidates to help drive innovation, performance improvement, and customer service delivery through analysis and visualization of data. Cincylnsights. Assist with UI/UX for the website, including dashboard visualization design.
Application Design. Design creative application prototypes to meet user need and workflow specifications using available data.
Tool Development. Collaborate with database administrators, city agencies, OPDA colleagues and end users to develop solutions to improve workflow processes and enhance digital services.
Data Analysis & Visualization. Analyze and visualize data for consumption by both internal & external users– must be able to move adeptly between spatial and aspatial datasets and analysis.

Skills, Abilities & Experience
Education. Possess at minimum a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in computer science, geography, analytics, design, or a related field.
Experience. Relevant academic and/or professional experience in data visualization/analysis, application design or development; programming: web design: or related experience.
Required Skills. Strong communication; analytical skills: experience with spatial & aspatial data; data analysis & visualization: organizational, and presentation skills are necessary for this position.
Strongly Preferred Skills. Demonstrable experience in the following areas:
- Data visualization (Tableau)
- Spatial analysis (ArcGIS)
- UI/UX design experience
- Application design experience
- Ability to program in at least one language (i.e.Python, SOL, HTML, Java)
Creativity & Collaboration. Demonstrated ability to effectively interact, collaborate, and communicate verbally, written and visually.
