Integrating GPS and GIS Workshop Materials 11/30/2011
Below is a public link for downloading the materials from the Integrating GPS and GIS Workshop. We have included some additional documentation for questions that were discussed during class which include url's to more documentation. The file size is roughly 800MB so we suggest downloading this during non-peak hours. Additionally, we worked with the +AddXYZ applet developer and he has included models we created for adding the GPS fields to your existing GIS data. Furthermore, we also created an excel spreadsheet which outlines the field names and field types. UPDATE 11/30/2011 5:00pm: Download Michael Miller's presentation from Esri. https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B96MO29yUzDJM2MyMDc0NWItMDkxZC00OTQzLTg4OWMtYzMyNzJhMGRhODgx UPDATE 11/30/2011 2:00pm: Andrew Aidt with the City of Kettering pointed out that the model did not have parameters. So when the model is double clicked you receive an error message. We have fixed the models so that the input featureclass/layer is now a parameter. We have also shared this with the AddXYZ Developer so he can incorporate the new updated models with his script. Below is the link for downloading the updated models. If you wish to use the original models as-is, simply right click the model and choose Edit. https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B96MO29yUzDJZjE5YzZmYjktOWUyNy00ODZjLTliMTgtMDcxNzg1ZTM3YmMy Original Download: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B96MO29yUzDJMTZjOGFkNTktZTE5YS00YzU3LWFiZGUtYTZmOGVjZjQ5YTkx If you have any questions please email Ken Carrier The Geographic Technologies Group (GTG) is hosting two workshops next month in Huber Heights.
